  • Liquid Assets Assessment Summary

  • Summary note

Primary aromas of black currents and dust and perhaps a light floral or two. Secondary impressions of richness. Medium bodied, soft and round mid-palate shape. The word ‘elegance’ comes to mind. Rich plump Shiraz is lightly structured by the Cabernet. A warm, bitter-strike of a ‘purple-skins’ character on the back palate leaves me a little unsure. High levels of grippy, dry puckering tannins. This measure for longevity indicates medium to long-term storage. 92/100

  • Wine Assessment Notes

  • Nose

Primary aromas of black currents and dust and perhaps a light floral or two.

Secondary impressions of richness. The fruit and oak play the richness game.

Rich Fruit related: ripe-black-cherry and some lifted florals-violets.

Rich Oak related: choc-coffee-vanilla, some cedar wood-shavings making the wood a shade visible.

  • Palate

Medium bodied, soft and round mid-palate shape. The word ‘elegance’ comes to mind.

Rich plump Shiraz is lightly structured by the Cabernet; the unique Australian Cabernet Shiraz(Syrah)blend experience.

A warm, bitter-strike of a ‘purple-skins’ character on the back palate leaves me a little unsure and mars an otherwise carefully crafted wine of high-level inputs. Will storage dampen in time? (Note to self, revisit in 3 years. Mark higher if this element softens.)

High levels of Grippy, dry puckering tannins. This measure for longevity indicates medium to long-term storage.
